Admittedly - our namesake and spiritual foster father is no longer with us. It has been over 200 years since Joseph Johnson built his first watches.
In 1795 he founded his manufactory in Liverpool and produced his high-quality chronometers and watches there for more than half a century.
His filigree craftsmanship, his fine mechanical sophistication and his innovative aesthetics established the success of his watches, especially in the United Kingdom but also increasingly on the American market. Particularly beautiful masterpieces can still be admired today in the Metroplian Museum of Art in New York and in the Liverpool Museum.
We have dedicated ourselves to the ideals of Joseph Johnson and his philosophy and continue today what Joseph Johnson passed on to us - committed to tradition.
Josh Johnson
Joseph Johnson started his career in Liverpool at the end of the 18th century. He invented many design improvements for the pocket watch and also for the movement. He supplied the English royal family. He was also very popular with the American railroad because of his precise clocks.
He often signed his movements "Josh Johnson".
